This is a poem of mine which served as the basis for a darkroom series.

Remember that at every point, you are at the edge of the earth.
Remember that the sky which is so familiar, is an infinite void you are privileged not to fall into.

So huge and so all around you,
the clouds and moon in comparison are close to the touch.
My friends, my family, we are comparatively the same organism.

You need to know how unknowable vastness is.
You need to know how immeasurably close everything is to you.
